  2. We went on a field trip to Jesse H. Jones Park, and this is some things that we learned/did: First, our guide was Ranger Jason, and he showed us around. We went over to a game station, where we played cup & ball, corn toss, tug o' war, and another game that I don't remember. Then we went over to music. The had wooden guitars, with strings made out of (ew!) dried pig intestines. we went to the Native American village and saw a very cool pantry, a chief's hut, and a trap-the-animals guy. Then we went to the woodwork and the blacksmith. The woodwork had cool stuff to make logs that have been cut in half into flat slabs of wood. The blacksmith had cool stuff as well, like anvils, and hammers and metal rods that they BURNED in the fire to make it easier to hammer. Next, we went over to the animals. The barn was where they kept the oxen, and the top of the barn had hay for the older boys to sleep on, so that they can keep an eye on the oxen. Lastly, we went to the plants/crops. There was rosemary and we got to smell some. Then we went back to the start and ate our lunch. We had recess and then a movie. BEST FIELD TRIP EVER!

  5. The field trip was fun. I learned that the pioneers only can play music on Sundays. I also had so much fun doing tug of war and corn toss. I also learned that when the Indians fought the pioneers and the kids laid in the wagon.

  7. I loved the field trip. I learned so many new things. My favorite station was the games and I liked throwing the corn into the little rings. I was impressed of how good the guys at the stage could play the guitar and the violin. And I learned at that station that they played a little guitar looking thing like a violin, but with a guitar chip.

We went on a field trip to Jesse H. Jones Park. It was fun. I like when we play tug-of-war against the boys. Also I think it was cool how blacksmiths work back then that was cool. And I think was kind of gross how they made The strings on the guitar made out of pig intestines wow very gross. Do you need to be American Village? I think what was cool in the pantry in the little summer hideout. And also I think it’s a pretty bad idea To put the kids with all the weapons you never know what weapon could end up in a children’s hands. Also I think it was cool how they had a little hospital and a little piece ceremony at the same time. Then after wood work it was cool how they scrape the wood to make it then and then they put that on the house so water doesn’t drip through. I also think it’s cool how the guy puts it in the middle and then he tries to hammer it down. Then we went to the barn. The barn had hair on the top where the boy or a girl would take care of the animals like ox the auction was there in case he needed to pull a wagon. Last but certainly not least do you want to plant some cops there we learned how to start a farm or grow some plants Like Rosemary well we gathered back to the little exciting place where we heard music then we would lineup in time to watch tonight at lunch we drove us and stopped at a little picnic tables then we ate lunch for maybe 30 minutes and went back into a bus then drove back to school when we got to school recess then watch little bit of Winn-Dixie packed up and left.

  11. I thought Jesse H. Jones park was very fun and interesting. My favorite station was the games because we got to learn what games the pioneers played. They lived in structures made of wood and held together with mud. They did not have running water so they got it from the river. Many died of sickness because they did not have the right medicine. I enjoyed this field trip!
