We are really enjoying our math stations/math groups! Please share what you like about them so far. Do you have a favorite station? Do you have a favorite game? WHY do you like it? What are some great strategies you like to use during problem solving? Share with me your favorite parts of math groups! Please write four to five complete sentences. Make sure you use the correct capitalization and punctuation.
I like the math box station a lot beacause the math boxes are always fun! I also like the baseball multalcation station on the ipads because it is math in a game form! I use the up and dwn stratagy for most of my fact because t makes it easyer to add and subtract! I also like when we play games like salute and other fun math games! I love math!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite station is the math games station. My favorite game to play is "Beat the Calculator". I like "Beat the Calculator" because it helps to keep the facts inside my brain and not off to Hawaii or someplace elsewhere. Strategies that I use are:
ReplyDelete1= the same addend. (1*6=6)
2= the number doubled (2*7=7+7)
3= the number doubled plus one more group (3*7=7+7+7)
4= the number times five minus the number (4*7=5*7-7)
5= count by fives
6= the number times five plus the number (6*7=5*7+7)
7= the number times four plus the number times three (7*7= 4*7+3*7)
8= the number times four doubled (8*7=4*7*2)
9= the number minus one plus what equals nine (7*9
10= the number with a zero at the end. (10*7=70) 6+3=9

My favriote station is the one were we play a game on the I-pad. I like it because I like to have fun and learn at the same time and I have fun playing connect ed. I also like that I play games with Carsten because we make it sound really cool e.g when we play the 100 game we see who has more land and make it fun.

My favriote station is the I-pads. I like playing baseball maltipacaiton. Connect ed is fun and you learn. The games like salute are fun too.

ReplyDeleteI like iPads because you can have fun and get educated at the same time. I also like to play the games. The games are fun like beats the calculator. Sometimes you’re the calculator and sometimes you’re in a braid or the color my favorite is the brain because I’m not that good and multiplication and it helps me learn more multiplication if I get the answer wrong and I want to know the answer from other people. But if I forget I could use a strategy if I don’t know the answer. I also like the games because you get to be with a partner sometimes you can be with your friends and sometimes you can be with someone you don’t want to and if you’re with someone you don’t want to you can have a chance to learn more about them.

DeleteI like the iPad math game a lot. For example, in baseball multiplication 10 times 10=100. That means I hit a home run! I like the math box also because the math boxes are fun to work on. I like fill to 100. I enjoy meeting with Mrs. O'Connell. Math is my favorite subject!
