As good readers we all use reading strategies to improve our reading skills and our reading comprehension. The most important part of reading is to understand what you are reading, and that is why we use reading strategies. It makes reading more enjoyable and a lot more fun when you connect to what you are reading and give a shout out to others about the great book you are reading. Please tell us about your favorite reading strategy or strategies that you use when you are reading and why you like them. Be sure to write four to five complete sentences with the correct punctuation and capitalization.
my reading strategy is to use my hand to see were I am. this strategy helps me read faster and not lose my place. or i use a book mark to also see what I read. when i do not know how to say the word i pond it out.
ReplyDeleteI like to visulize when I read. It helps me understand the actions of my charecter. And it is like a movie. I love my book it is called Rangers Apprentice.
ReplyDeleteMy reading strategy is to make predictions when I read. It helps me because it like gives me information even if my predictions are a little off so it's like a win win. I usually just follow my finger on the words. I learned that strat' in Kindergarten.
ReplyDeleteSome of my strategies are to use my bookmark to keep track of my spot and not to skip any words. Another one is to keep sticky notes to right down my favorite parts, wows, and important parts. And my last one is to sound out the words if I am not sure or I don't know the word.
ReplyDeleteMy reading strategy is to predict. My other reading strategy is to ask questions. I use a bookmark to know where I am in my book. I also like to read out loud before I go to sleep but I don't read to loud.
ReplyDeleteI like to predict. I ask questions it helps me figures out whats happening. I picture a move in my mined to see whats happening. I read slowly so I don't skip words.
ReplyDeleteThe book im reading is Big Nate goes bananas.I like rereading because if don't get a sentence and then I reread it and then I might get it.One more strategy I use is putting finger on the words to keep track of where I am on the page I sometimes use that Strat. One more Strat I use is using predicting.

ReplyDeleteMy reading strategy is to find a good book and to not judge it by its cover. I read the first page and do not walk away. Another strategy is that I read more at home to get more practice. I also try not to skip a line by using a bookmark or finger.
ReplyDeletei am reading News Prints. And my favorite stragety i when you read something inportent you should write it down. Another one is too get into the middle of the book till you dicide you dont want too read it. And my last one is too perdict so then you can check and see if you perdicted the right thing.

The book im reading is big nate whats a little noggie between friends. My favorite stragey is rereading becuse you can get lost in your reading. My second favorite stragey is perdicing becuse sometimes it is fun to see if your right or wrong. And the last one is to make sure if your actually reading it becuse you could not know what your reading!
ReplyDeleteThe book that I am reading is Compass South. It is very interesting! I like the pictures in the book. My reading strategy is to look for clues in the pictures. I can not wait to see what is going to happen next!
ReplyDeleteThe book that I am reading is called big Nate. It is a good book. A reading strategy that I use is to look at the pictures if I don't understand the words. Also I like to make connections in my head. I have lots of questions in my head when I read books.
ReplyDeleteWhen I don't get a word I skip it and read the sentence. Then I go back and read the word with the sentence. Sometimes I don't get what I am reading so I go back a few pages and reread. Sometimes I have fun plans after school so I don't understand because I am not focused, so I try to focus!
ReplyDeleteOne of my reading strategies is to visualize what I am reading. Sometimes if it is a little action I will feel the action with the character. Another strategy I like is predicting. I like to guest what is going to happen next and then see if I am right. I really like to read!
ReplyDeleteGood readers ask questions about the book and also make predictions. Good readers try to make a move in there mind and use the picture on the cover to know what the caricatures look like. Good readers brain track on paper notes. always try to find a just right book that you like and understand. Use your back round knowledge.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading 100 days and 99 nights. It's a really good book. I most of the time I like to imagine about what i'm reading. I like to look at the pictures. some of you should read it it is really good.
