  4. I am researching the Karankawa tribe. One of my facts is that whey they are on the war path, they will paint their faces red and black. They also wore an apron or a breech cloth. In the summer, men wore no clothing or barely any clothes because they just wanted to show off how they strong they were.

  5. I am in the Caddoe tribe. I learned that the name Caddoe means pierced-nose. I think the grossest fact was that they mixed deer and buffalo brains into some type of hide to make black leather. Caddoe men only wore a breach cloth in the summer.

The Commanches hunted buffalo and deer and it is their favorite food. They use the skin for clothing and tee pees and rugs. The women worked more than the men and even the kids worked!

  11. I am in the Apache studying group. One fact that I learned is that they travel a lot so they have to live in teepees because they are easy to move. Another fact about the Apache's is that they make arrows out of wood they find on the ground. The Apache's wear animal skin in the winter to keep warm and it grosses me out.🐂

  12. I am studying the Kiowas. One fact that I found interesting was that they drank animal blood because they thought it was good luck. They also carried water with buffalo or cow stomachs. The buffalo was the most important animal that they hunted because they used every part of it. My favorite fact is that they lived in teepees because they were easy to travel with. And they could break a teepee down in 15 minutes.

  13. My tribe is the Karankawas. They were nomads and they lived along the costal bend of Texas. They got their food by hunting javelinas, oysters, alligators, turtles and gathering fruits and berries. Bison and bear were hunted only if they wandered near the Karankawas' camp. The Karankawa Indians were the tallest of all the Texas tribes. Men wore a breach cloth or no clothing because their men liked to brag and show off how strong they were. When they were in the war path, they painted half of their faces red and the other half black. Sometimes the women would wear skirts made of deer hide and Spanish moss.

I also know that they where a lot of animal skins like deer, buffalo, bug skin and so on. I also know that they make there bows out of wood that they find. They also move a lot so they live in tepees because they were easy to build and take a part. I can't wait to learn more about the Apaches.
