They also move a lot so they live in tepees because they were easy to build and take a part. I can't wait to learn more about the Apaches. They got their food by hunting javelinas, oysters, alligators, turtles and gathering fruits and berries. Bison and bear were hunted only if they wandered near the Karankawas' camp. The Karankawa Indians were the tallest of all the Texas tribes. Men wore a breach cloth or no clothing because their men liked to brag and show off how strong they were. When they were in the war path, they painted half of their faces red and the other half black. Sometimes the women would wear skirts made of deer hide and Spanish moss.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8688868131360522025.post-7617800467864145772016-11-02T18:09:25.568-07:002016-11-02T18:09:25.568-07:00I am studying the Kiowas. They also carried water with buffalo or cow stomachs. The buffalo was the most important animal that they hunted because they used every part of it. My favorite fact is that they lived in teepees because they were easy to travel with. And they could break a teepee down in 15 minutes. Another fact about the Apache's is that they make arrows out of wood they find on the ground.
