Independent Reading Checking In!!!
Books can really add a lot of joy to your life! I always like to have a good fiction book around...like a good friend. Lately, I have been reading a book called Edge of Eternity. This book is historical fiction, and it is for enjoyment. Historical fiction is based on historical events and people that are true but the story is fiction. Books can be entertaining and POWERFUL!
What have you all been reading lately? How has the book entertained you? Please tell us about the book you are reading in 4 to 5 complete sentences. Be sure to use the correct grammar and punctuation.
I am reading the Ordinary People Change the World book series. I love it! I finished reading I Am Amelia Earhart and I Am Albert Einstein. They were the best biographies I've ever read. They have speech bubbles, good illustrations, and I learned a lot of things, like Albert Einstein's hair is so awesome. Albert Einstein invented E=MC2.
ReplyDeleteI just started the Mallory series. She is very quirky and entertaining. In each of her books she has a problem to solve. And I always find it interesting the way she solves them. I highly recommend everyone to read this entertaining series. And the books always teach a lesson at the end which help make me a better person.
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading Diary of a wimpy kid The long haul. I like the series it is very intreating. In each of her book there is a problem and they have a lot of frown faces. I think I am going to read another book like that. I think you should read the series. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe book I am reading is a My Weird School Book. The main character's name is AJ, and he is very funny. He has three friends named Ryan, Michael, and Neil. They are always getting into trouble. The series titles also have funny names like "Ms. Yonkers is Bonkers." I highly recommend the series if you like comedies and crazy stories.

DeleteI just finished the book Alvin ho alergic to camping.I think he's annoyed of what others do.I like the series because he always makes up stuff and pranks others.I think some other boys in the class would like the seiries!!!
ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called: WASIDE SCHOOL IS FALLING DOWN it is really good. It is about a school and it is CRAZY but I haven't read the whole book so I don't know the whole thing. But there is one part I know and it is that the class is studying gravity and they were using pencils and erasers but then the janitor came in with a computer UHOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am reading diary of a wimpy kid. It really intertains me from all the crazy things Greg says. When Greg hides from his parents wen his parents are trying to make him stop playing video games. And looking a the speach bubbles on some pages.
ReplyDeleteRight now in school I am reading one of the books in the Mallory series. I have read 15 mallory books in the series. I thought I was finished with the series but when book fair came around there was about 5 new books. I am reading Play It Again Mallory. At home I am reading Walk two moons by Sharon Creech. It's a little scary for me but I really do like it. I highly recommend the mallory series. I also highly recommend the book Walk Two Moons.
ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called Roscoe Riley. It is a funny series. It is about Roscoe going to a apple farm and getting to eat all the apples and the day they go on the field trip a storm comes in. I do not know the rest of the book but tonight I will find out more.. I can't wait to see what happens.
ReplyDeleteAt school right now I am reading Diary of a wimpy kid the last Straw. I love the book so far. It is really funny and really entertaining. Sometimes the speech bubbles are funny. After I finish the book I am going to read the hole series.

DeleteI am reading a book called "the secret tree".It is about a family called the caldrons,the main charecters names are Lennie,Paz,Hugo,Robbie, Minty fresh,and Pax A.Punch.At the part Im at minty fresh sees a weird looking guy in the forest be hind their house so minty fresh chases him he runs to the other side of the woods and the caldrons only know 1 thing be hind those woods...A WITCH HOUSE!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am reading a book called Kylie Jean dance queen. It is about a girl named Kylie Jean who wants to try to be the queen of the swans in her dance recital. And her cousin Lucy wants to be the swan maiden. I am trying really hard to finish the series and right now I have read Kylie Jean cupcake queen and Kylie Jean dance queen.
ReplyDeleteI am reading A witches guid to cooking children. I have tried to read the book before, but I was WAAAY to little and I only got to like page 2.
ReplyDeleteIts about a boy a girl and a witch and the witch is kind of scary and misterious. The children are brother and sister and they live with their dad there mom was lost one day and she supposivly drowned in FREEZING water.
Also I dont have flu anymore! :D

ReplyDeleteand greg's life is going the worst. he has to join this soccer team but he doesn't really play. but at one point he gets to play goly and wile the game is going on greg is playing with the flowers and the other teams scores to
win the game. I cant wait till to morrow to finish bye
I am reading What the Moon Said. It's about a girl named Esther and her friend lives in a really big house. Her friend's mom is really nice. Esther lives in a dark depressing apartment and she thinks her mom doesn't like her. Like one day, Esther went up to her mom to give her a hug while she was doing dishes and her mom screamed and dropped the dishes. She yelled at Esther for hugging her. I feel sorry for Esther. She likes her friend's life better.
