December is a month of celebrations. Our classmates celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas. I am sure each of us have special family traditions, food and fun activities. Please share some of your favorite holiday customs with us! Also share if you are going anywhere special over the holidays!!! Please write four to five sentences and check for capitalization and periods.
I celebrate Honuka with my family. So here are some things my famliy does. We light candles, eat lots of yummy foods, and my favorite thing is opening presents. We also decorate gingerbread houses during Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWhen I celebrate Chanukah I split half of it with my dad and the other half with my mom. With my mom in her part of the week we usually have2- 3 parties. My favorite part is the presents and having some great time with my family. Yesterday I got about 12 presents. On my dad's part we always go to Dallas to see the rest of the Presley family and I always look forward to seeing them. My usual favorite part there is playing with my cousins and having the same meal every time. I love winter break and I hope all of you do to.

ReplyDeleteI love to celebrate Christmas. Sometimes I go to New York to see my grandparents, this year I will. My grandparents have a big three story mansion, it will be very fun. I will also spend some of my break here at my house.
ReplyDeleteI like that every christmas eve ( and the 23 days before that ) I get a warm feeling inside. Christmas day is my favorite part of the year! Opening presents, Being with family, and seeing the look on your sisters face when she realizes she got a new computer. (its hilarious)
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas. Every christmas Eve night I sleep in my brother's room in his other twin bed. I am just going to stay at my house. I will have parties. We will go to other peoples places. We eat a lot of food. My grandparent come over on christmas day. we are going to go to my ranch after christmas.

I just celebrate Christmas. Unfortunately, I am not going to go anywhere on winter break this year, unless my mom or dad change either of their minds. On Christmas, I get presents, and, because I'm Chinese, I get red envelopes that are stuffed with money! This is turning out to look like a very awesome Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love christmas. One of the reasons I love it is because I get to spend time with my family. It is also really fun. I stay at my house with my family (all my cousins,mom,dad, and my little brother gray. And its pretty cool to wake up with a boat load of presents!!!
ReplyDeleteI celabrate christmas or x-mas.Every year for christmas my family has a giant party at my house and ALL of my cousins come,so it's basicly full house on christmas ev.My family usaly stays home for christmas break,but this time my family is going to our ranch witch is out of houston.

DeleteWe are going to have an early Christmas with are cousins.We will give gifts at my grand parents house. Every year on Christmas eve we go to church. On Christmas day we go to my other grand parents house.
ReplyDeleteI celebrate Hanukah. I light the menorah. We say prayers while we light the menorah. Every year I go to Mexico with my family.
ReplyDeleteEvery year my family goes to my cousin or my great aunt's house and we have a big family Christmas potluck. We all bring a present and we play a game. In the game you pick a number then you wait tell your number gets called then you get to pick a gift and people can steal your gift. We also have a big dinner at our house and then we sometimes watch a movie after, that's what we do on Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMy family celebrates Christmas. We go to the farm which is very fun. We go cut down a Christmas tree and make homemade ornaments and decorations. We also always make s'mores. That is one of my favorite things to do. We make a birthday cake for Jesus and sing happy birthday to him. I love Christmas! It is my favorite holiday.
ReplyDeleteWe celebrate Christmas. We go to church on Christmas Eve. We have a thing called Secret Santa with my cousins. We go to the galleria all together and get our secret santa presents and then we open them on Christmas. On New Years Eve we will go to our farm.
ReplyDeleteMy family celebrates Christmas.We always either go to church and then to my grandma's house, or we go to church and then go to another family member's house. We always enjoy opening present on Christmas. But I know that all of my family would much rather us all be together, than get any presents at all.
ReplyDeleteWe celebrate Chanukah. This year we are going to LA. We celebrate at my gandparents house every year and eat yummy food and get presents. We celebrate for 8 nights. Last night my cousin spent the night and I bought her a present.
ReplyDeleteMy family celebrates Christmas. And every year I go to my grand parents house and this year Im going skiing in Utah! I got a furry backpack for Christmas. And a bunch of other things but I don't want to type them all!
