  3. During the holiday, we are going to Amsterdam, Paris, and London. For Hanukkah, we sometimes play dradle, and we eat gelt. We always get presents and on the 8th night we get the biggest present. I know I am not Christian but I believe in Santa and love candy canes.

  4. Nearing Christmas time my elf on the shelf comes her name is Snowflake and she hides in a different spot every day so that is done and I have a few more things to tell you about Christmas in my family. So my dad always cooks turkey or ham and when my dad cooks the turkey ( sometimes) I help make the cranberry sauce for the turkey ( if we make turkey). My aunt usually makes one or two or three deserts for Christmas and one to four side dishes. And those are some of my family's holiday traditions!!!

On Christmas morning, my sister and I get up at 6:00, and guess what our presents are. Then, at 7:00 we are allowed to wake up our parents. We always go to Austin for New Year's and we are going to this year too. And that is some of my family's holiday customs!

  9. So, every other year, I stay home for Christmas and then I go to Dallas after Christmas. The other years, I go to Dallas for Christmas to see my dad's side of the family. This year, I'm going to Dallas for the holidays. I usually stay there for about three days. I always stay at my grandmother's house for the night and open my presents there. We will go to my cousins' house for breakfast and then at noon my family goes to my grandmother's house for lunch. Afterwards, we stay at the house to open presents with the whole family. For Christmas Eve, we will go to church and then go to my Aunt Jeanette's house for dinner. Merry Christmas! Hope

  11. We like to go to our cottage in Michigan for Christmas. It is so pretty there with lots of snow and wildlife. We cut a Christmas tree from my grandma's farm and decorate it when we arrive. On Christmas Eve, we go to church and then see Santa arrive on a sled in our small town and then we go to my Uncle's house for dinner. We usually stay home on Christmas day but our family comes to visit. We also go sledding on the sand dunes overlooking Lake Michigan with our friends. For New Years, we go to Vail with my other grandma to ski. See you there, Mia and Brett - Merry Christmas!

  17. We like to go to our cousins house on Christmas day and spend the night. We always have a big party there with my whole big family from my mom's side and my dad's. We print numbers about 1-30 and then scrunch them up into a ball and put them into a cup. All the kids then pick a number. The kid with number 1 goes under the tree to open a present. Then the kid with number 2 either goes under the tree to open a present or steals number 1's present and so on and so on with the numbers. It's kind of tricky but fun.
