Science Test

Make Mrs. Sayuk and myself proud! Teach me some information about circuits and electricity. Impress me with your knowledge.  Write at least six well written sentences.  Use your notes if you need to!!!  Have fun!!!

  1. well a series circuit is not what you want in your kitchen if your fridge goes out your microwave goes out to! But if you have a parallel circuit if your fridge goes out nothing else happens to your microwave! So its parallel circuit yes sires circuit no. A short circuit does no work the electricity just zooms around in circles. A simple circuit is just a battery and wires and a lightbulb.
    Bet you din't know
A current is electricity flowing through a circuit, a insulator does not let electricity flow through and conductor does.

  2. A short circuit causes fires. And it does no work. It is really fast. People use copper for there wires and it costs a lot. In a series circuit if one lightbulb goes out the other does to. A conductor lets electricity through a insulator doesn't.

  3. A short circuit is a circuit that does no work. The reason you don't have a short circuit is because it can cause a fire. It causes a fire because it goes really fast. A conductor lets electricity threw. An insulator does not let electricity threw. We use a parallel circuit in houses.

  4. I have been studying for a science test here some facts.
A circuit is the connection wires that electricity travels through.
Conductor, let's electricity travel through. Example: metal.
Balance is when 2 forces are equal in strength but push or pull in opposite directions.
On a suspension bridge when you are about to cross is called, the approach.

  5. A simple circuit a basic circuit with only one light bulb.A short circuit is a circuit that does no work. But if you leave the circuit on for too long it can start smoking and cause a fire... so it is dangerous. And nobody uses series circuits because if you turn off something the other thing turns off too. The parallel circuit is the circuit that most people use for there home appliances. If you turn one off the other ones stays on. And the battery wears out twice as fast. A conductor lets electricity through and an insulator does not. Usually a conductor is something made out of metal. A conductor could be made out of rubber.

  6. A Series Circuit has dim lights and if one light goes out all the lights go out. That is way most people don't have Series Circuits for there kitchen system. A Short Circuit does no work it just gets hot and runs out of battery. A Parallel Circuit is a very go kind of Circuit for a kitchen. The bulbs are bright and one stays lit if the other goes out but it can run out of battery. That is what I now about Circuits!!!!!!!!!!

  7. A simple circuit is a circuit with one light bulb. A circuit is a connection of wires. A short circuit does no work. A seires circuit is a circuit that if one goes out they all go out. In a parelell circuit one goes out the others don't. A conductor lets Electrisity through an insilator doesn't.

  8. A short circut causes fires. And it does no work.
A series circut is dimmer. And if one goes out all go out.
A conducter lets electrisity through. a current is electrisity traveling through wires.

  9. A few things about electricity are...A parallel circuit is better than a series circuit because if a light goes out in a series circuit all the other lights go out and in a parallel circuit they stay on. A current is electricity moving through a circuit. When you are working with a battery the electricity travels from the bottom to the top. In a short circuit it will not turn on a light bulb because it skips it. In an atom in the first orbit there are 2 electrons, in the second orbit there are 8 electrons, and in the third orbit there are 18 electrons.

  10. A few things that I know about electricity are that an insalator doesn't let electricity through and a conducter does. The best circut for houses are parellel circuts because if one thing goes off nothing else will.Another thing I know is that in atoms on the first orbit there is two electrons on the seconed there is eight and on the third one there is eighteen.A piece of paper can be stronger by folding it sevral times.Another thing I laerned is that tourque is a circular force that is weight times distance. The most interesting thing I learned is a persons center of gravity is at his or her belly button.

  11. Its good to have a parallel circut in the kitchen because if one thing goes out the others will stay on. Torque is a circular force which is weight times distance. There are electrons, neutrons and protons in a cell. The nucleus has the protrons and neutrons. Protons are positive, electrons are negative and neutrons are neutral. In a series circuit the lights are dimmer.

  12. A circuit is a wire electricity flows through. A short circuit causes house fires. In a series circuit both lights are dim.In a parellel circuit the lights aren't dim. Also in a parellel circuit if one goes out the other stays on. Circuits won't work unless the circuit breaker is working.

  13. There are many facts about circuits, but here are just a few: A simple circuit is just a light bulb, battery, & a switch. A parallel circuit is two lightbulbs on different wires parallel to each other, along with a switch & a battery. Another quick fact about parallel circuits is a lot better than any other circuit there is that I know of for house appliances. A series circuit is tow lightbulbs on the same wire along with the battery & switch. Also if you turn it on the lightbulbs will be dim, because they share the same electricity. Last but not least is a short circuit witch is made by a simple circuit with an extra wire cutting of the lightbulb. So when you turn it on the light bulb will stay on.

  14. Short circuts do no work, they get hot and wear out the battery. The reason why is because the wire is not letting the electricity travel through the switch. In a series circuit, if one light bulb goes out, they all do. Parallel circuits are the best for a house wiring because if one goes out, the other stays on. A simple circuit has a battery, a wire that is a conductor, a switch and a bulb. The current from the battery flows through the wire and lights the bulb.

  15. Wow! I am so impressed... you have learned so much about electricity and gave such great facts! Hurray to Mrs. O'Connell for asking this question. It was a fantastic way to start reviewing for the test. And hurray to the fantastic blogs from 3-O. Good job, 3-O! Ms.Sayuk

  16. I love electricity.all of the circuits are amazing like a series circuit that does no work also series circuits aren't good for home appliences meaning if one light goes out the hole house shuts off,but parellel circuits are good for home appliences like if one light goes out the others stay on.And a simple circuit is just plain easy all you need i a wire a light and a switch. And static electricity is when electrons build up on protons. Now torque is a cicular force made up of weight times distance.Thank you Ms .Sayuk i couldn't of gotten this far without your help.

  17. Here are some facts on a parallel circuit. On a parallel circuit the lights are really bright and they wased the electricity in a battery because it has to go threw 2 light blubs.Searie circuit the lights get dime in a serie ciruct.
In a circuit theres one light blub one switch and one battery.Short circuit does no work.theses are some facts on electricity.

  18. here are some facts on a series circuit. if 1 light goes out so do all the rest.they share power so there not as bright. here are some facts on a parallel circuit. if 1 light goes out the other does not.they share the same power but there both try bright.
