Reflections on Pioneer Hour



We had a wonderful time sharing our Westward Expansion projects and work with our parents and family! I am curious. What was your favorite activity that we did during this unit? Was is the journal, reading Joshua and Hattie's journals, the treasure chest, making butter or sketching and describing your pioneer family?
Please give a detailed explanation about what you liked most. Maybe you'll influence how we explore pioneer life next year!  Write five to six complete sentences. Check your punctuation.  Have fun!!!
This is after a long day on the trail!!! These little pioneers are hungry and tired!

    My favorit thing of the pioneer unit was the journal. I think that was a very cool type of writing. I also liked the butter making. I will look back in 40 years and remember it. I loved doing pioneer reaserch!

    My favorite thing was the research 'cause we had more freedom than journaling. I liked making butter and eating biscuits. with honey BTW. I also liked the beef jerky.

    My favorite was researching 'cause I don,t like writing. I loved making the butter and it tasted really good especially with biscuits. The biscuits are home made and so was the butter.

    I liked journaling because I love to wright. I wright all the time. I think making butter was fun too. The butter was delicious with the biscuits. The beef jerky was good too. I also liked dressing up like pioneers we got to look like them. Pioneer day was really fun.

    My favorite part of western expansion was my journal and reading Hattie’s journal. I liked the joirnaling because I like to think of things to write down and I can write a little at a time. I like it because we could get information off of Hattie and Joshua’s journal. I like Hattie’s journal because I am a girl too and it helped me know what girls should do.

    My favorite part was making the butter you just got to keep shaking to make butter! But I also liked writing in my journal because I love to write. I think I like Hatties journal because she is a girl and I am a girl so it helped me know what I should write about. Probably my favorite part of all was sharing with my mom. I also liked making my treasure chest too. 40 years from now I will look back and remember this day of the pioneer hour.

    I loved sharing the books and name things we made. it was really fun making the butter we had to shake so much. Witting in the journal was fun to it like we are witting a story a bot panners. i'm sad it over i loved working on it was so much fun

    It was the journal. I all so loved making milk that was fun it tasted good. I liked the tresur chest. On the wagon train study I had to study at home so I had truble.

    My favorite thing was the food. I mean who doesn't love beef jerky, butter and biscuits. I also loved watching Little House on the Prairie every Friday and reading Joshua's and Haddie's journal. I also liked writing our own journal.I overall loved the pioneer unit and hope I get to do it again someday.

    I think my favorite thing was Pioneer Day. I loved watching Little house on the Prairie every Friday. Liked reading both of the Journals to. Writing in my journal was fun to. I had a lot of fun on Pioneer Day to. All of that work was worth it for Pioneer Day.

    my favorite thing was journal. because it was fun writing all the landmarks. pioneer day was really fun to. because I liked sharing it with are perents and the food. the beef jerky was the best.

    My favorite thing about pioneer day is the food.I also liked the little movie that we watched.I also loved making butter.I cant belaeve that our table won.I also liked making the page foe our class book. I also liked researching and writing my journals.

    my favorite thing was making butter. my I also liked to jornaling. i liked making my chercher chest. too
    i liked the beef jerky and the biskets. i really liked the unit pioneer.

    I loved making butter in the class and also presenting our pioneer work. It was a lot of fun when we made our trunks, name tags and journals. The food in the library was really good! I'm glad that i'm not a pioneer or I would be starving and tired right now!
