  1. I loved cafe! I learned you have to keep your house clean for chinese new year. And there are many fireworks to celebrate. The coolest thing was the mythical creature called nian. A wise man who watched over the village said to terminate nian they need to make music with drums and firecrackers, and put red scrolls at there doors they listened and defeated nian!

  2. I loved todays presentation at cafe on Chinese new year. I learned nian was a mythical creature. He was terminated by beating drums and firecrackers. On Chinese new year people who celebrate Chinese new year get the new made money. Which is kind of cool to me. They also had to clean their houses which I can't do. I learned a lot from Peytons and Eric's presentation. They did an amazing job.

  4. I learned pretty much everything on my presentation because I pretty much had no background knowledge. My favorite thing was the decoration slide that we made, because I only knew that they hung lanterns, but since I did this, I learned that they hung lanterns, did paper cuttings( man, that would be tough), and much more. The toughest slide to type was the Origin slide, because there were a lot of legends on how Chinese New Year got started, but thankfully they mostly were on Nian, so we chose that one.I had quite a lot of fun putting this together, and presenting it, and I hope you liked what Eric and I did. If not, then sorry. If you have any lingering questions, submit them as a reply, and I'll see if I can answer them.

  9. I loved learning about Chinese New Year's. Some things I learned is that this holiday is the most important holiday in China. The day before Chinese New Year's you clean your house for a whole day. Right before Chinese New Year's you set off fireworks to scare away evil and bring good luck. The presentation was awesome and I learned a lot.

  11. My favorite fact and part of the presentation was the part about what year it is. Because it was really cool to know how to keep track of what year it is. But I wonder how did the animals get to be in the rotation? My favorite fact was how people clean their houses on chinise new years eve because they can’t clean their houses on chinise new year. I thought the presentation was really cool. Great job Peyton and Eric!!!!
