  1. I thought that the Jessie Jones park was very fun. It was such a bummer that it rained!!! I have to say, I think that my favorite part was learning about the blacksmiths. I was very interested in all the facts they taught us. And, the sets were very authentic. I also really liked the music. It was so cool to see what instruments they played back in the 1800s.

  2. At the Jesse Jones Park and Nature Center, I liked getting to see all the different hides. I also liked that we got to pump water. I wish that they had a actual well, but as they said, that would be dangerous. Some of my new learning was: The word smith comes from the word smite, which as they said, means to hit something. I also learned that it took a year to make one dress. I had much more new learning, but I can't fit it all, unfortunately. I had quite a lot of fun.

  8. I liked the Jessie Jones Park. I learned a lot. Here are some examples of what I learned. The cloths where made by the moms and the dads. Also I learned that they made a lot of cool things with wood. Another thing I learned was that the blacksmiths were named affter what they used which was black metal. We also got to touch animal fur and some of the fur was soft, but others was rough.

  9. The Jessie Jones park was really fun. 1 thing that I learned was that pioneers ate just about anything just so that they could eat. I learned that their was not just blacksmiths but goldsmiths and silversmiths. When I saw the Indians house, it was made out of which looked like some kind of tree leaves. I also loved playing the games like corn cob toss. Which you throw a small corn cob threw a ring hanging. I loved the park and I think you should come too, you all will learn a lot and have a lot of fun!

  10. My favorite part about the field trip to the Jessie Jones nature park was the games that the pioneers played. Because it was cool to see how they played compared to today in 2015. And I think they were very creative with their games. My second favorite part of the trip was the part when we learned about the music. Because we are studying the Oregon trail and I think it was a big help to how I could explain what they did at night and help me explain what instruments they had back then.
