Science Test!!!
Monday is your first science test,
which is mainly on nutrition and a little bit on the metric system. I
know that you are already studying, and I would love to hear four to
five fact or interesting things that you have learned during this unit.
Please share in four to five complete sentences. Be sure to use the
correct punctuation and capitalization.
I love science it is one of my favorite subject. I learned vitamin A helps give you good night vision. Sugar gives you fast energy. Calseim gives you strong bones and muscles. Water helps keep body temperature normal. Well that's it.
ReplyDeleteThis unit I learned that the IRON people build with is in your food but only a small amount though. I also learned that rickets is a disease that you get from not having enough calcium or vitamin D in your body. I also learned that deficiency diseases existed. And about the metric system I learned that everything in the metric system ends with meters. I learned a lot more but I don't have time to tell it to you so that's it bye!!!
ReplyDeleteI like Science! Here are some of the things that I leanerd in Science. Vitamin K helps make scabs. Vitamin A helps night vistion. There are a lot of food groups: proteins, grains, veggies, fruits, dairy and also oils, sweets, fats.
ReplyDeleteSome interesting facts that I learned were:
ReplyDelete*fructose is the sugar in fruit,
*Sucrose is table sugar
*lactose is the sugar in milk.
I also learned these two deficiency diseases:
Rickets:{Lack of Calcium in your diet}
Scurvy:{Lack of vitamin C}
well, so long!!!!
ReplyDeleteHer are some of the thing I leaned. The food groups are grains,protin,veggie,fruit,dairy,oil fat and sweets. Vitamin K helps make scabs. Vitamin A helps night vision. <3
ReplyDeleteI learned awesome facts: iron makes blood red,calcium makes bones strong,citrus fruit are fruits that peel like oranges,limes,lemons.,sailors were called limes because they brought barrels of limes,lemons and oranges so they wouldn't get scurvy and fiber makes your waste come out.
ReplyDeleteHere are 4 facts that I learned in science. Vitamin A gives you good night vision. The three carbs are sugar, starch and fiber. Vitamins are chemicals in your food. Starch gives you slow energy. I am also a little worried about the test.
ReplyDeleteSome of the things that I learned: The IRON that people mine is in our food!!!! Thankfully only in small quantities. Vitamin C is in citrus fruits, and it prevents scurvy. The sailors who started eating fruits with Vitamin C in them (limes, lemons, oranges) began getting called limeys. We need fat in our body, but we can still get it by eating other types of foods. We don't need to eat anything from the fats, oils, and sweets group. I could tell you more, but I don't have THAT much time on my hands.
ReplyDeleteI learned a lot of things that I never knew, like Vitamin D works with Calcium to make strong bones.I also never knew that there were six Nutrient groups.I also never knew you need eight glasses of water a day.I also never knew you need more grains than protein. Wow! That is a lot of things!
ReplyDeleteHere are some things that I learned about nutrients in science. One is that salt is very, very tiny rocks. On a Nutrient Fact label it does not tell you what the starch is so you have to look at how many carbs the food has in it then you have to see how much sugar and fiber it has then add up the sugar and fiber and whatever that is see if the carb number is the same as the number you just added and whatever is left to get the carb number is the starch number. Vitamin K helps make scabs. Water helps keep your body temperature normal. About the Metric System: The rest of the world uses it except for the United States. We use Standard. I'm soo exited about the Science test. P.S I'm also very nervous
ReplyDeleteYesterday,on Teusday we learned a lot of facts.Their are 6 food groups,fats oils and sweets,veggie,protien,grains,dairy and fruit.Vitamin A helps with night vision.Vitamin C prevents scurvy.(scurvy is a horrible disseess.) And vitamin K helps make scabs.I know a lot more, but I can't fit all of it in here!
ReplyDeleteI know Vitamin A helps with night vision. And I know that Vitamin C prevents scurvy. I also learned that Vitamin D works with calcium to make strong bones. Vitamin K helps make scabs. I also love science. To much salt is bad for you.
ReplyDeletei know vitamin a makes good night vision. and vitamin c prevents scurvy. vitamin k helps make scabs. and vitamin D works with calcium to help make strong bones.
ReplyDeleteI have a deep liking for science. i loved learning about the vitamins Vitamin A helps night vision. Vitamin D works with Calcium thats the white stuff on you fingernails.. I think and helps make strong bones. Vitamin C helps prevent scurvy a desise caused by.... well not inough VITAMIN C! (yay). And vitamin K makes scabs with ought vitamin K, if you get a cut you'll bleed SO much u die (bleh gross) So ..... uh i like vitamin k! also the food groups are Fruits, Veggies, Grains, Protien, (Fats, Oils & Sweets) BUT ONLY A LITTLE BIT!!!!!!! and Dairy..... I like dairy, Because with ought Dairy we wouldn't have ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!! nooooooo! :(
ReplyDeleteI have learned a lot in science class. I learned that the six food groups are grain, protein, veggies, fruit, dairy and fats/oils/sweets. Everyone is supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day and your body is made of more than 2/3 water. Fats give us energy and keep our hair shiny and skin smooth. Vitamin A gives us good night vision. Carbs come from plants. Those are a few of the things I have learned in science.
ReplyDeleteI learned SO MUCH in Science class. I learned that vitamin A gives you good night vision. That I know the five food groups Dairy, Protien,grains,fruits,and veggies.That carbs come from plants.Those are a couple facts I know about science.
ReplyDeleteScience is so fun I learned that bean are protein. Also vitamin A gives
ReplyDeletegood night vision. Iron is a mineral. I also know the 6 food groups are protein, fats, sweets and oils, veggie, fruits, grains and dairy. I like Science.
I can't wait for the test!!! Here are some things that i learned.tThe food groups are grains,protein,fats,oils,and sweets,veg,fruits,i can't wait for the test I'm a little scared but happy to!!!!!
