We have been learning new information on the amazing country of Iceland! Many of us did not have very much background knowledge on this country including Mrs. O'Connell! If you would like to look up some information on your own about Iceland hit Iceland. This is a great video with kids!!!

ReplyDeleteIceland is a very very small island. Another fact is that Texas is 7 times bigger. It is called the "land of fire" because it was born by a volcano eruption and it is call ICEland because 1-10 of it is covered in ice. I am really exited to go to Iceland for International Fair.

ReplyDeleteWhere there are volcanos there is a lot of steam. There is so much steam that they use it for electricity. It is crazy that there are no mosquitoes! I am so excited to go to Iceland for International Fair!
ReplyDeleteIceland is actually very green. The Vikings said it was called Iceland because they didn't want anybody to know about it. They thought if someone wanted to know about it they'd get in trouble. So they told everyone that Greenland was very green but it's actually very icy.
ReplyDeleteThis is some information that I learned about Iceland. A lot of people call the island Iceland, fire and ice because there is a lot of volcanos there and a lot of ice there. There is a lot of steam that people use for electricity. There is something called the Blue Lagoon and people swim in it. In Iceland there is something called a Geyser and it explodes. There are not any mosquitoes there. I would love to visit Iceland!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat I learned was that Iceland is one seventh of Texas. Also that Iceland had a lot of geysers. I did know that some people called Iceland the land of fire and ice. Last I did not know that Iceland had a lot of steem.
