Today we viewed a video and did some brain tracking. We are filling our brains with new learning on these Native American tribes!
We have also had the opportunity to explore some books on specific tribes.

Native Americans came from Asia. They spreded out and formed tribes. one tribe is called Iroquois. They had respect.

ReplyDeleteEach tribe was a little diffrent cause they lived in diffrent places.The South East had 2 diffrent types of homes one for the winter and the other for the summer! Mandans lived next to the Missouri River. My last fact is madans bilut round houses that were called lodges!

ReplyDelete300 houses is a lot in a village! Winter houses have no windows because it gets to cold. Native americans came from Asia because some kind of bride came up from under water.
ReplyDeleteI know that in the Eastern Woodlands got their name by the forests - there were so many. In the Southeast they grew corn and a lot of other food. One famos charaky was named scquoyah. In the iroquois there are the seneca the cayuga the onondaga the oneida and the mohawk.

ReplyDeleteI loved watching the video. I learned that the Cherokee tribe lived by rivers so they could fish and so they could hunt buck. And also I learned that they lived in pit bulls. A pit bull is a cabin that is basically a circle. Most rooms are under the ground.
ReplyDeleteThe video was awesome! I learned that when its winter the native americans stay in like a cave house. In the summer the stay in open warm houses. I also learned that they live in pitbulls. Their a really big house that you could fit a lot of people in it. Their are a lot of rooms under the house.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video and learned a lot about Native Americans. There are many different tribes. The chief was in charge of the tribe. They used nature to live. Native Americans made clothes out of buffalo skin. While the men were hunting buffalo, the woman would collect berries and cook big meals for the tribe.
ReplyDeleteI learned a lot about native americans today in school. Like at one point the water level dropped and a bridge formed and that is how the native americans got to south america. Christopher columbus thought he was in india so he called the native americans indians. I love learning about native americans.
ReplyDeleteI now know that they lived in tries. Before I saw this video I did not know that they hunt alike ether. I leaned a lot when I watched. I think I am going to like studying the Native Americans.
ReplyDeleteI have Learned a lot of facts about native americans yesterday at school. One is their was a time when the water went way down so it made a land bridge and the native americans crossed the land bridge to south america and that is were the US is now. And the indians would sell a lot of stuff like dugout boats and jewelry and other good stuff. And Cristopher columbus called the native americans Indians because he thought he was india. I can't what to get more into indians this is going to be so fun.
ReplyDeleteThere are six different colonies. Some of them are the Southeast, Cherokees, and Northeast. They were the first people in America. They built their own houses. They made their own clothes. They crossed over the Bering Straight and followed the Wooly Mammoth over.

ReplyDeleteThe Indians crossed over to the United States to live there own life. Buffalos where very useful back then to make clothing, blankets, and jewelry.Indians hunted squirrels, deer, bears, and wale.Indians made two types of houses one for summer and one for winter.
