We had wonderful time sharing our Westward Expansion projects and work today! I am curious. What was your favorite activity that we did during this unit? Was is the journal, QRcode with audio, reading Joshua and Hattie's journals, the treasure chest, making butter or brain tracking?
I loved pioneer hour! My favorite part was sharing all my hard work. I think the food was good to. I love the beef jerky. I learned a lot! I wrote about children s chores . I also wrote about South Pass. I had a great time!
ReplyDeleteI had a really fun time at pioneer hour. I loved the biscuts and butter.It is one of my favorite things that has happend so far this year. I think it is cool that we worked so hard and got to show it to our parents. I hope my parents had a good time at pioneer our.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing was making he butter.I loved doing the butter.It makes you feel so ALIVE!!!!I loved doing the journals because we got to read them to are parents.Trail to Oregon ink is running low.
i LOVED pioneer day it was really fun and i enjoyed telling my mom and dad about the Oregon trail.my mom loved my journal and my dad loves it. i loved typing my journal and reading it to my mom.i did not like the biscuits and i did not like the beef jerky.
ReplyDeletePioneer Day was so much fun! My favorite activity we did was are QR codes. It was cool to see how are parents camera could scan the code. It was fun to try the beef jerky and biscuits. It was fun to make home-aid butter. I hope they next grade has fun!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite activity was making the journals. I liked the journals because the Oregon Trail was not easy so when we were writing the journals. There was a lot of action. My parents loved The QR code. They like the QR code because I used my accent. The jerky was so good.

ReplyDeleteI loved everything about pioneer day! I loved making butter, writing our journal, our family, our I Book and our presentation! I mostly loved our treasure chests, because they were so fun to make and create! I don't want to end pioneers for as long as i live! My mothers aunt, and my mother came to visit pioneer hour! I love taking brain tracks and all the fun learning! Everything was so intresing! I liked doing a journal with Sam and making funny parts and sad moments in our journal. I also liked sharing our Native Americans again! It is so cool that it is now published as a official website for the Kinkaid students! i liked the biscuits, beef jerkey, butter and fresh ice cold water! I loved when everyone dressed up on pioneer day! I wore suspenders, dark jeans and a blue pioneer/cowboy shirt. It was nice to see what other people made and wore to pioneer day. If i look in my pioneer journal i can see how much research I did and information tooken from books.

My name was Lydia Davis for Pioneer day. It was so much fun dressing up on pioneer day but my fav. thing about pioneer day was sharing my journal with my mom even if my mom was a little late. The biscuits were grate but the butter was a little bit watery but it was still grate pioneer day was so much fun! My sister really wanted to come but she could not sadly. I loved pioneer day it was awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite parts of are pioneer unit was making are journals and sharing the QR code with my family. I loved the creamy biscuits and amazing jerky. It was so fun trying to speak in a pioneer accent. It was cool reading Joshua's and Hattie's journals because it gave us a view of what life was like on the trail from a kids point of view. Pioneer day was fun fun fun.
ReplyDeletePioneer day was so much fun! I loved showing my parents what we worked on during our unit. (Also the biscuits and beef jerky were really good).My favorite part about preparing for pioneer day was making butter and our iBook. Making the butter was fun because it was exciting to race against other tables to make it. Writing our iBook was fun because once we were finished our personal page, we could work on a subject with one of our friends. Another thing I liked about our iBook was we could add some widgets like quizzes and art/picture galleries. I also liked that we could pretend to be a pioneer and write in a journal on the Oregon Trail. We got to make up our own name, and we could include other people in our class in our journals. I loved journaling because we could write anything we want. The list goes on and on. I guess it would be easier to just say I loved the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteI think doing the journals was the most fun! I think making the butter would have been fun too! I think the journals were the most fun because we get to write as if we were a pioneer. Then showing all our work to our parents was fun! I think doing the pioneer project was really fun!
ReplyDeleteI loved pioneer hour!!!!!!!!! It was soooo fun!! I loved the butter with bread! My dad said "this butter is so good ya'll should be in a butter company!" because the butter tasted so good! It was awful at PE because the unit is street hockey! I used a rubber band to tie my dress. I loved sharing my jornole with my family i skiped so many pages in my jornole. I loved my dress it was a calico dress.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about pioneer studying was journaling and making the butter . The biscuits and the butter was so good! I like how we got to dress up but when we played street hockey it was so hot. It was fun reading my journal to my parents . I wish we had pioneer day every month.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things was getting to make the butter with are whole table. It was so fun getting to teach are moms and dads what steps we had to go threw to make the i book. I was so happy when we finished are pioneer journal. we had to go threw so mush planning to get to finally get to teaching are parents all about the pioneers. My favorite food was the jerky because it had all of those spices. One of my things in the i book was Indians. I wonder how my sister rote her journal in cursive.
