International Fair!!!



Have you found some interesting facts about Denmark yet? Use this link about Denmark to read more about that beautiful country. Please write two new facts you have learned about this country. Please read your classmates' responses and try to post something new and different.

"Gangnam Style" by PSY became the world’s most viewed video on Youtube in 2012! Gangnam is a fashionable area in Seoul. Check out this video and why not try the Gangnam style dance for yourself?   1. One of the things I learned is Denmark was once covered with trees, but almost all of the original forest has been chopped down. I also learned that Danes have one of the highest standards of living in the world. All Danish families receive over $1,500 each year for each child under 18 years old. Denmark is a amazing country and the video is awesome so and cute!!!

  3. What I learned about Denmark is that the population in Denmark is 5,569,077. Also that the money in Denmark is called Krone and for South Korea the money is called Won. The population for South Korea is 49,039,986.

  5. South Korea is home to some of the most professional video game players. Korea is known as Choson which means "Land of the Morning Calm. Denmark is made up of the Jutland peninsula and more than 400 islands of the north sea. Denmark's terrain is mostly flat with gently rolling hills.

  6. I learned that South Korea is a very safe place for a child because it is such a small country. once the Spanish people wanted to claim South Korea. But a group of people try to defend themselves and the country.

  7. I Learned that in South Korea the like pickled food and mixed it with rice, veggies, and meat. The Koreans also liked soups the Meeyook was a favorite birthday soup. Kids are expected to wait for the oldest person at the table to eat first. Denmark's official name is the Kingdom of Denmark. In Denmark it is safe for the children so mothers just leave their babies by them self's. The largest animal living in Denmark right now is the red deer.

  8. I learned that the food in Denmark is kinda similar to ours. They also ride bikes just like we do. I also learned that there are a lot of people in South Korea so the people are very crammed and that tigers once lived there.

  9. I learned that South Korea took over some of North Korea's land. And that the Gangnam style was originated in South Korea. And Denmark is so safe that people let babies stay at home by them self's with the door unlocked!!!

  10. I learned that Denmark has 400 islands in the North Sea. The people of Denmark are called Danes and they were Vikings. Denmark has a queen and my dad says that the world's largest shipping company is in Denmark. Legos started in Denmark. In South Korea the main food is pie. I also know that when you go to a restaurant in South Korea, you make your own food. Korea is split between the north and the south.

  11. Guess what! Education in Poland Denmark is free for children up to 18 years of age. Students in Denmark get to choose if they go to a three year high school or a two year vocational school to get specialized job training. Did you know that in 1894 Japan and China teamed up to send soldiers to put down an uprising in South Korea. People have been living in South Korea for at least 10,000 years.

  12. I learned that Denmark is safe to let kids go outside by themselves. Many people in Denmark have blue eyes, blond hair and are tall. South Korea is surrounded by 3,000 volcanic islands. The population of South Korea is 49,039, 986.

  13. I learned that the two main sports are basketball and baseball. Denmark is approximately two times the size of Massachusetts and the population is about 5.5 million and there are about 1 million people living in Copenhagen which is the capital.
    Korea is divided between North and South Korea.There are many people who live there -almost 50,000,000. There used to be many tigers living there but now they think they no longer are present.

  14. I learned that Korea was split into two parts. The main sports are karate, basketball, and soccer. In Denmark it is very safe, safe enough to leave you baby out side ALONE. And for children under eighteen school is free!!!

This is what I learned about Denmark: 1: Denmark's terrain is mostly flat, with gently rolling hills. 2: They are nordic scandinavians, many of which are blond, blue-eyed, and tall. 3: The capital city of Copenhagen is home to more than 1 MILLION people!!! Wow that is a lot of people!! This is what I learned about South Korea: 1: People have been living in Korea for at least 10,000 YEARS!!!!! Now that is a LOT of years! 2: South Korea has one of the strongest economies in Eastern Asia. 3: South Korea is a crowded country with 1,294 CITIZENS of every square mile of land. WOW!! That is A LOT of citizens. I love studying about South Korea and Denmark!:)

    South Korea has a lot of sports like basket ball. soccer ect.South Korea has great food like beef they make it thick.

  17. I learned that LEGO was invented in Denmark. Legoland and the company headquarters are located in Billund, on the Jutland peninsula. Denmark has 14 Nobel laureates, mainly in Literature (4) and Physiology or Medicine (5). With a relatively small population this is one of the highest numbers of Nobel laureates per capital in the world.
    Koreans have two News Years. In addition to January 1st, Koreans also celebrate the Lunar New Year in February.The Korean alphabet is called Hangul. It has 10 vowels and 14 consonants and is easy to learn for young children.

  19. I learned that money in South Korea was called Won they looked like pesos with a sense that is old. The capitol of South Korea is Seoul. The language in South Korea is Korean.
    I also lerned Denmark has money called Krone. It also looks like pesos with all different people on each dollar and different things carved on it. The people in Denmark spoke Danish. The population was 5,569,077 that is not so much people live in Denmark.
