Book Clubs

We have just started our new book clubs, and they are going to be fun!  You will meet with your club tomorrow and come up with a name and some rules to make it run smoothly. I love adult book clubs because I think it is fun to discuss good books with other people. Please tell us the name of the book you are reading, what you think about your book so far, what are the main character's major problems, and what are you looking forward to during book clubs. Write about 4 to 5 complete sentences with the correct punctuation and capitalization.

Writers,we have all been working on plotting out our stories on story mountains. As we know, the event at the top of the mountain is when the problem is at its worst or most challenging point. Please share your mountain tops with us! What is the most intense part of your story...the problem at its worst! Write four to five sentences using the correct grammar and punctuation.

Independent Reading Check In!!!

We have not blogged about what we are reading for fun in a long time, and we all know that books can really add a lot of joy to your life! I always like to have a good fiction book around...like a good friend. Lately, I have been reading a book called At the Water's Edge. This book is historical fiction, and it is for enjoyment. Historical fiction is based on historical events and people that are true but the story is fiction. Books can be entertaining and POWERFUL!

What have you all been reading lately? How has the book entertained you? Please tell us about the book you are reading in 4 to 5 complete sentences.  Be sure to use the correct grammar and punctuation.
